Tigers in India

Only in India can you see the magnificent king of cats in the wild. Once hunted by princes, rampant poaching and killing in post-independence India reduced numbers to less than 2,000 by 1973, when Project Tiger began. Today, you have a good chance of spotting tigers in India in such national parks as Ranthambore, Corbett, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Pench.
