Markets in India

Markets in India are wonderful, and they play an essential role in daily life. In Jaipur, Badi Chaupar is where fresh herbs, bangles, shoes, flowers, silver and marriage attire are sold, each in their location; nearby Johari Bazar is for tie-dye and plain cotton, loose gems and jewellery (both serious and costume). Louise joins locals to visit markets in the late afternoon, when the colours glow and the air is flower-perfumed.
