Lectures on India
Louise uses her own glorious slides taken over many years to give illustrated lectures on India that both illuminate a topic but place it firmly in the context of India’s wider historical and contemporary setting.
In Britain, she has lectured at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Royal Geographic Museum, Asia House, etc. In the United States her museum fixtures have included Santa Barbara, San Diego, Denver and The Guggenheim, while she has also spoken at the Harvard Club of New York, the United Nations and English Speaking Union chapters. Her subjects include the Taj Mahal, Sir Edwin Lutyens, India as an inspiration for literature, and the Mughal emperors, but Louise always enjoys the challenge of a new topic.
Fern, New York and Aspen, Colorado
“My first trip to India was with a large museum group guided by Louise. I
chose to make my second trip with her and a small group of clients, most of
who were with her for the second, third, or fourth time. Louise's small
group trip was full of information and sights yet was not a "tourist"
experience.
Louise knows everything you ever wanted to know about India and more. She is
flexible and will change a plan to accommodate something interesting and
spontaneous. Not only is she thorough in planning and execution, she is
great, fun company and a delight to be with. Moreover, one can be sure that
the people who travel with Louise are as well. I would not consider
traveling in India without Louise.”
