Jewellery in India

Jewellery in India is a fundamental part of life. Without it, a woman, a deity and, to a lesser extent, a man, is regarded as naked. According to her wealth and position in life, a woman may decorated her hair, forehead, nose, ears, upper arm, wrists, fingers, neck, waist, hips, ankles and toes. When in India, you too can decorate yourself to suit your taste - and purse! Beware: get receipts and have large items independently valued.
