Ganges in India

The River Ganges in India is revered by Hindus as their most sacred river, which it is now officially called The Ganga. Rising in the Himalayas at Gangotri, near Rishikesh, it passes through three sacred cities, Haridwar, Allahabad and Varanasi ( also know as Kasha, divine light), which every devout Hindu must visit at once in a lifetime to cleanse their sins and bring hope for a better next life, or even salvation.
