Crafts in India

The everyday crafts of India are so rich and varied that several enlightened Indians, fearing their loss in favour of plastic, created museums for them. But, so far, they continue. Look for hand-loom weaving, embroidery, carved kitchen pots, wooden carving of all kinds; and see the craftsmen themselves – potters, weavers, painters, bangle-makers, stone carvers, paper-makers.
